It's actually pretty simple!

• Click here to submit your application and $15 application fee (application fee can be mailed by check as shown on the application, or sent via PayPal (click here). If you use PayPal please check the box that indicates you'd like to offset the processing fees.

• Attend 6-9 months of meetings, trainings, and other events at your own expense.
  ​

• Your application for Full membership will be accepted or denied as early as 6 months and no later than 12 months after submittal, based on attendance, commitment level, and other relevant factors. Full members can vote and hold office.
  ​

• Once you are a Full member, or once you become "operational" (able to attend searches), whichever comes first, you'll then pay $50 in annual membership dues. Membership dues are used toward our dispatching software, website hosting, and other administrative expenses.
   

• Full members who are MASAR Certified (or actively working toward Certification) - most expenses for most required trainings are then paid by HISAR according to SOP.
   

• MASAR-Certified​​ Search Team Members are covered by Worker's Comp insurance when responding to searches under the supervision of the Maine Warden Service, and are eligible to become certified as Search Team Leaders or Mounted Search Team Members.
